Bail agents aren’t what you see on TV.
We are highly regulated, fully trained, licensed professionals with one clear responsibility: ensuring individuals appear in court.
We bring order to chaos and stand as a steady guide when it matters most.
This isn’t a job. It’s accountability, purpose, and impact.
Step up. Apply now.
What To Expect.

Pre Licensing Course
You must complete a 2 day in person instructional class, taught by an NCDOI approved provider.

Application & Background Check
You must submit a surety bail bonds application via NIPR and pass a federal background check.
NCDOI application processing can take up to 12 weeks.

State Exam
You must pass the Surety Bail Bondsman state exam.

Field Training
1776 Bail & Co requires at least 2-3 full weeks of field training with a senior bail agent.

The 1776 Bail & Co. Standard
We are committed to developing the next generation of bail agents...professionals who don’t just know how to show up and post a bond, but who fully understand and take seriously the duty they are licensed to perform.
That means navigating the entire legal and procedural system with competence, integrity, and accountability, ensuring every responsibility tied to a bond is handled correctly, efficiently, and without compromise.

On Call Availability
Arrests do not have a schedule.
In order to make this a consistent source of income, you must be available on an on call basis.
In order

Nights & Weekends
We don't clock out.
When the phone rings we must be ready and available to go where we are called. Nights and weekend availability is required.

Coachability
We can almost guarantee that you've never done anything like this before. And if you have, you haven't done it like US before. Must be coachable and willing to learn the intricacies of this business, as well as the way this organization operates.
